If someone isn’t responding to your ideas as you’d expected, take a step back and inspect your motivations.

If you aspire to lead in some capacity, you’re going to have to make a commitment to promote diversity. Not everyone has the same needs, and you need to make room for them all. Today could be a real eye-opener, so stay alert to the lessons life has for you. This will involve plenty of flexibility and cooperation. Take it on as a challenge. You’ll win at this, like you do at everything.

If you want to show off, don’t be fussy about it. You’re free to put on a show, but people don’t have to pay attention if they don’t feel like it. Remember, most people have short attention spans, so they tend to lose interest quickly — even in the best, most spectacular of acts. If this happens to you, don’t get worked up about it. Just move on and start dreaming up your next big show.

Sentimentality comes with a hefty price tag today. Is that why you’re so grumpy? If so, the answer’s easy — if you can’t really afford it, just don’t go there. Don’t let yourself get bogged down in melancholy or nostalgia. Stay on the sunny side of the street and focus on the parts of your life that are positive and strong. Get some exercise with a friend, or play with a child or pet. You’ll feel better in no time.
