Stealing Boyfriends

Stealing boyfriends

Stealing boyfriends

If you met a man and the two of you clicked like never before, and you’re certain that this man was put on the Earth for the sole purpose of being with you, would you go for it? Now, what if that man were dating someone else?

Stealing boyfriends has brought about much debate among women for years, but if the chemistry is so right and you’re certain that he’s the one, is it still wrong to go for it?

Well, while some women are on the karma fence, shouting about the many bad things that will come out of stealing boyfriends, the other fence has women responding with the fact that not only is life too short to spend it yearning for someone, it’s also not fair.

I have been on both sides of this fence, and neither one starts out great. Stealing boyfriends just hasn’t worked out me, or most of the women I know.

Making men cheat?

When I was the girlfriend who was betrayed, I have to admit; I blamed the girl and wanted to do some serious physical harm. I couldn’t believe she was stealing boyfriends and lured my man away from me.

But after what felt like an eternity, I came to the realization that she was not the one who was committed to me; he was. And he opted to let another woman come between us and ultimately dumped me for her.

He was solely responsible for what happened. I was a good woman both in the kitchen and in the bedroom, and yet, he felt a profound connection with this skank (okay, so I’m not fully over it).

Of course, he swears he didn’t sleep with her while we were together; their connection was beyond sex, which, I have to admit, hurt me even more than if he had just penetrated her. Ultimately, he wanted to be with her and there was nothing I could do about it.

And today, they’re married with children and I couldn’t be happier for them. I knew he wasn’t my Mr. Right, he was more like my Mr. Delight.

Luring the man

Of course, I also managed to find what I thought was the man of my dreams when I met up with a bunch of friends one day.

Upon being introduced to Anthony, I became flushed and shy – I am usually an extremely confident woman. He obviously felt this same electricity because within an hour of meeting, he was sitting next to me asking about my plans for the future.

After we spoke for a while, a friend informed me that Anthony was attached. And although everything in my being screamed at me to drop it (I was the “attached” one once before, after all), I couldn’t help but give him my number and take his.
