Words to omit from your dating profile
4- Walks on the beach
When was the last time you seriously took a stroll on a beach? Even if you do love taking walks on the beach, this line has been used since the dawn of man on dating services, so you might want to rethink your whole strategy here.
Try mentioning something you enjoy doing that’s a little quirky or original. Climb the monkey bars, practice Tae Kwon Do, I don’t know, just mention something that has a touch of memorable to it.

3- Emotionally secure
Unless you were heavily medicated for years before that, no one needs to hear that you’re emotionally secure because it just sounds like there was a time when you weren’t and perhaps, if things don’t go your way, you will visit that time once again.
So unless you’re on a niche site where people are typically medicated and emotionally insecure, your best bet would be to steer clear about anything that has to do with emotions in your dating profile.

2- Attractive
If you have a dating profile, chances are pretty high that you have a photo to go with said dating profile, so shouldn’t your picture say a thousand words? And shouldn’t one of those words be “attractive”?
Stating the obvious in your dating profile is not a good way to go, so say what needs to be said and don’t draw it out in a long, wordy dating profile that no one wants to commit to.
Words to omit from your dating profile
1- Internet speak
LOL, cuz, prolly, and all the words that people use to write quickly in texts and online have no place in your dating profile because this is a representation of you and you don’t want people to think that you don’t make any time for yourself, do you?
Use the correct words to say what you want to say and avoid internet speak because, unless, you’re 19, people won’t look kindly upon it.

I can’t tell you how many chicks write “no drama” then, when I meet them, they’re psychotic.
You nailed it. I can’t stand it when I see misspells in people’s profiles. You’re an adult, you’re online, get it together.
Hey! I like long walks on the beach and I live right next to one. You suck Naya, take it back.
It’s not a word to omit but a cliche: “I’m comfortable dressing up for a night on the town or sitting around in jeans and flip-flops.” When I see that in a woman’s profile I almost always skip it and move on. Everyone likes to dress up sometimes, and we all like to stay in and relax. Please drop that line and write something unique about yourself.
Love it and thank you! I recently got an email from a seriously hot guy online but the entire thing read like a really bad text message from the Jersey Shore crew. Out of curiosity, I had to lookie loo the profile. It was just as bad.
I sighed, thought “What a waste” and deleted.
Ha, I love it! These are all great things to point out—especially the “no drama” and “enjoy long walks on the beach” comments. Ugh!! I got so sick of reading the same profiles from guys, and wondered what they REALLY were looking for. Anyway, thanks for the post!

All those things plus; athletic body for a female, and I’ll tell you later.
Athletic body type sounds like you’re on the womens softball or bowling team-BUTCH!
Smoking, job, or kids- I’ll tell you later? Seriously? Be honest. If it doesn’t matter to a guy, it won’t dissuade him. If it’s a deal breaker, then your wasting both our time, and it signals you’re inconsiderate.
Another gripe, self pictures by cell phones, in the mirror, and poorly lit or exposed. Two well lit pictures is all you need; a face closeup, and a full length standing picture. Be honest. Some women even list photography as a hobby, and don’t have a single well taken picture with their profile. And I’m not going to contact you because of your pet, leave them out!
