Mike D’Elena, the creator of FindMyDogADate.com, has been holding monthly meetups for Valley residents with dogs for the past 4 months now, with much success.

FindMyDogADate.com lets users register and search for suitable play-dates for their dogs, according to breed, temperament, weight, and age.

Right now, it’s a site for pet owners who want playdates for their dogs, but eventually Mike D’Elena wants to make it more than just that. D’Elena wants to make the site a one-stop shop for Phoenix dog owners and give the money made from advertising to charities (I’m guessing animal charities).

With an arsenal of about 400 members in only 4 months, D’Elena hopes to get about 1,500 members by year’s end.

Of course, it has also morphed into a bit of a dating site, which is inevitable considering those who have dogs would love nothing more than to meet fellow dog lovers.
