Study proves men don't feel guilty
He cheated on you. He forgot your birthday. He even thinks about sleeping with your sister. The thing is, he’s not sorry, nor will he ever be. No. Not even if you explain the way you feel and argue in way that doesn’t hurt his feelings. He just doesn’t feel guilty about it, and there’s nothing you can do to change that.
The Spanish Journal of Psychology questioned almost 300 men and women between 15 and 50 about everyday things that make them feel guilty.
And the study showed that, when men do feel guilty, it’s about things they do to themselves, not to others. Things like overeating or drinking too much booze.
Women, on the other hand, do their best to try not to hurt others and feel incredibly guilty whenever they do.
This is by no means trying to sell guilt as a rite of passage, but it would be nice if, when my boyfriend says sorry for forgetting to buy milk after I reminded him 7 times, he really means it and feels bad about forgetting. The bastard. He doesn’t.
What this study proves is that women need to stop feeling like crap about every little thing they don’t’ do for everyone else and should start being a little more self-centered.
Life is too short to waste it on what everyone else wants. Women could take a serious lesson from men here.
