After surveying 288 men for his book VoiceMale, Neil Chethik realized that the housework-sex link is all too real and women aren’t kidding when they say they don’t want flowers or sexy lingerie. All women want is to come home to a vacuumed house. That’ll get their juices flowing.

Of the 288 men, men admit that they do some housework and get some sex in return. How much sex? Well, not much, really, only an increase of once per month. But when you factor in work and kids, that’s almost double what some husbands are usually getting.

What’s my solution? Well it’s mentioned by some of the husbands: hire a maid to come clean the house. That way, no one feels like they’re doing all the work and you can both save your energy for sex.
