Smart men have the best sperm

It seems that the smarter the man, the better the sperm he possesses. And that’s good news for geeks everywhere. Maybe now all the hot women will flock to them to ensure that they have strong, smart, healthy kids.

Scientists have proven (hmm, scientists, I’m already suspicious about the results) that men who have the highest IQs also tend to have highest counts of healthy sperm.

Men with low IQs, as you can imagine, have more sickly sperm.

The study centered around 400 Vietnam War veterans who were put through extensive mental testing and were also asked to provide sperm samples.

Evolutionary psychologist Professor Geoffrey Miller of the University of New Mexico found that the men who scored highest on a battery of IQ tests also had the highest counts of premium, quality sperm.

So Professor Miller has concluded that the two traits (intelligence, quality sperm) evolved together as a way for men to advertise their fantastic genes.

Professor Miller believes that a number of human traits – language, intelligence, humor, and selflessness, to name a few – evolved because they attract the opposite sex.

Yeah, uh, so does a 6-pack, a great ass, and a good dancer, but I don’t see any evolution there.
